My name is Wulan, which means Moon in Javanese and I founded the Illustrations workshop of Hello Sleepywhale Design + Illustration in 2012 in Chicago, IL, after leaving a corporate design job to pursue creating and crafting full time. I moved to Montreal in the Fall of 2016 to become an Early Childhood Educator. Currently, I am a proud preschool teacher that loves and adores all of her classroom children and excited to combine both passions of mine, Art and Education.
I specialize in creating work that are fun to interact with using a lot of bright, fun colors and unabashedly darling designs meant to bring a little light, and happiness, upbeat energy and laughter to my audience. When I'm not designing, I like to craft (be sure to check out my Blog), going on photo hunts, museums and being in nature :)
