Join us for a calming and tactile introduction to handbuilding and surface carving.
Together, we’ll explore foundational handbuilding techniques and learn how to carve into leather-hard clay to create texture, depth, and personal expression.
What You’ll Learn
• Two handbuilding techniques (pinch and coil)
• Surface carving techniques and pattern exploration
• Composition and balance in handmade pieces
What You’ll Create
Each participant will make two finished pieces, such as:
• A small bowl or cup
• A trinket dish or incense holder
• A decorative tile or sculptural piece
After the workshop, your pieces will be dried, glazed, and kiln-fired. They will be ready for pickup at my studio approximately 3–4 weeks later.
